Don’t Bust the Filibuster!
May 4 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Ending the Senate rule requiring 60 votes to end debate would worsen partisanship, lead to a revolving door of extreme policies, and make sweeping changes to our institutions.
Eliminating the filibuster is a partisan tactic to make it easier to ram through one-sided legislation. It would increase partisanship and division, stifle debate, and usher in the potential for dramatic changes to institutions, such as packing the Supreme Court. Granite Staters like me do not want this. Please listen to us.
Our nation is at a fork in the road. Senators have a choice between going down a dangerous path by eliminating the filibuster, or they can do the right thing by working together toward better public policy to solve our most critical issues.
Join us for an evening of food and networking to learn more about the importance of the Senate filibuster!
